CWC2011

Never understood the psychology of a sport of how things will turn out in terms a "win" and "lose".. Why you want to think the team you are supporting has to win.. No matter what situation you are in.. and how exactly does this strong team vs the underdog thingy works. Why is there a strong sense within us to support a team, based on the your mental interpretation of that team.. That too of cricket which is a British colonial game (Australia, England, India (Pakistan and Bangladesh) Caribbean Islands, New Zealand, South Africa etc etc.. And in India this is larger than the game that English might have envisioned probably.. Now, its more about money.. Players are made and thrown based on the economics of the shock value in the sport.. and where money steps in lot of junk also steps in.. Though this was realised by Mr Dalmiya long back in 1996 WC.. then came the match fixing scandals etc etc.. Anywayz me too was such a fan till 2007 world cup.. and then IPL killed it bigtime!! There are lot of yuppie crowds in India right now.. Firstly cricket and Football.. Most of them know only the sixes and fours and the rules no one cares .. so they keep the game simple.. in that way.. Imagine a person with that attitude getting to run the game with money ( Guess, that's what L Modi did anyways).. The point is if you bring in a monkey to play rubik's cube, no doubt it will play.. But it brings in its own assumptions and axioms into it.. which will fck up the initial setup itself... Or worse break it or completely change the game itself..

Imagining the world cup to the nice and fair, neat and clean and completely played in its true sporting spirit (the definition would be difficult here).. I would still have many questions that is difficult to understand or comprehend.. Why is it (cricket) run by the biggest goons who grew up in India on different shades of the same organization. Dawood who controls the whole of betting mafia and Sharad Pawar who used to head BCCI... now been strategically promoted by himself to the head of ICC ( grotesque in terms of the magnitude of virtuousness that's involved with any sport) . And because of this admixture Pakistani players were made to get caught in the match fixing scandal in some time back. It is known that fixing happens.. Its only we branded the Pakistani's.. and I don't understand the logic of "an agricultural minister of a nation who has a bad record of bringing down that sector drastically and has been attributed to the highest number of farmer suicides" to almost all rich scams that has happened in India (Telgi, 2G scam, IPL, Lavasa to name a few) is the head of the most legally profitable game in India. I say it legally because, illegally(only through betting) the amount of money will be at least 25 times the money that is being generated legally through this tournament.

Anyways the hype of India Pakistan match is too high right now.. India was never better as a "Team" compared to Pakistan as a "Team"... Pakistan as a team can beat any team in the world.. Which I doubt about India in cricket.. In India its more of an Individual sport like our myths.. an individual who outperforms the whole of opposition.. and sometimes his team itself.. Too much dependency on an Individual to perform.. rather than the whole team performing.. Every aspiring cricketer who comes through hard work, Talent, and Influence.. sees money and others and loses it completely.. There is not much of good bowling in the team.. Its as bad as it was throughout the Indian cricket.. Maybe there is a lot of basics to be learnt by these noobs than Action, swing, footwork, spin, flight etc etc.. Its more important to have a mind of your own.. Pakistan on the other hand take raw talent from the streets upon which they develop on their own in terms of game.. coz cept few there are technically few sound players.. who made it really big in world cricket.. When the whole tournament can be called a hoax because of certain doubtful entities within the game... Why not clear it.. Hey but then .. Its India.. :) and right now Money is the only thing that matters!!
